As you walk through your wedding planning process and began booking the majority of your vendors for your wedding day; Please don’t leave out your stationery designer.

During your engagement, there will be several wedding-related events that will require a lot of stationery and invitations. It may seem like a daunting and quite overwhelming task, but it’s quite management if you know what to expect. Please see the list below of when to send out wedding invitations and everything else!

Save the Dates

Save the dates are used to get all your guests to begin marking their calendars to ensure they can make it for your wedding day. These are beneficial for guests who will require travel arrangements and or hotel accommodations near the wedding site. Defined Luxe recommends sending them out one year in advance.

Bridal Party Invitations

Hopefully, you are not responsible for the bridal party and have trusted friends or family that have taken responsibility for you.

Bridal Party Invitations should go out six and eight weeks before the bridal shower date. Dependent on the guests coming from out of town, they can be sent out earlier to make sure they have enough time to make the proper arrangements.

Wedding Invitations

Traditional wedding invitation suites consist of a response card and helpful information for your guests like directions, hotel accommodations, and or wedding website. They should be sent out eight to six weeks before the wedding date.

The response cards should be complete four weeks before the wedding date.

Defined Luxe Wedding Planning Tips: Follow up with anyone who hasn’t sent back the response card. Unfortunately, some guests will plan to attend without sending the response card back.

Dinner Rehearsal Dinner

The rehearsal dinner typically takes place the day before the wedding. Defined Luxe recommends only inviting the people that are in the wedding party to keep things organized. The invitations should be set out six to eight weeks in advance.
